Not sure what to say?

To the Gehri family I send my condolences. I remember Al warmly from our public school days.

To Al's family, I am so sorry for your loss. Al was truly one of the kindest people in the world. I will also miss his laugh and unique sense of humor, as well as his patience when answering my questions. You have been and will continue to be in my prayers.

I, too, was deeply saddened to learn of Al’s death. Although we lost touch after college, it’s clear from these tributes that he continued to be the sharp, witty, thoughtful man he had become over the years since I first met him in junior high school. I wasn’t on the debate team with him, but that didn’t stop him from arguing with me about everything from Watergate to popular music. He introduced me to many things he was passionate about -– Miles Davis’ music, licorice ice cream, the best...

Megan and Al's family,

I feel like I know Al so much better after the touching memorial today. I wish I had been able to get to know him better, but I do remember discussing cases of his or mine with common elements--like a particular attorney who shall remain unnamed who caused a lot of grief to each of us, separately. He was always willing to help with a case and to be my inside guide to Snohomish County. Only a month ago he went out of his way to get a certified copy of a...

I am saddened by Al's untimely death. I found him to be a dedicated, honorable, conscientious, careful, and thorough representative of the SRDTF in the personal property claims he argued before me. He was always polite and respectful to the claimants in my and their presence.

Beyond work, Al and I discovered that we shared at least one thing in common: We had both inherited beachfront property on Puget Sound - both of which were damaged during the major storm this spring. I will...

Megan - My thoughts and friendship are with you. Please know that many, many people care and we want to help in any way that we can. I hope you feel our support.

I worked with Al at the Sno. Cy. PA's Office and at the Drug Task Force. I enjoyed knowing Al and am sad and sorry that he is no longer with us.

Megan, Tasha and Al's family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Al did so much for my family and I during a very difficult time for us. He loved a good lawyer joke and will surely be missed by all.

So saddened to hear of Al's passing. I learned a great deal from Al during the time I worked with him. I appreciated his sincerity, compassion, warm sense of humor and his unfailing support of law enforcement officers. He will be missed by so many.
