Alice was the bus chaperone of the Washington Park Drum Corps when I was a trumpet player in the Drum Corps when I was 8 - 18 years old from 1965 - 1974 .

Mrs. Camp was my third grade teacher at Thomas Hooker in 1979. She was very fond of American history. She is the one that is responsible for instilling this same passion in me and for this, I will forever be grateful. My family and I loved seeing her and her husband at bingo night. They would always come over to talk to us and make me feel special. Rest in peace dear teacher.

Not only was Alice one of my favorite teachers (yes, 3d grade @ Nathan Hale), she also helped transition me from a class wise guy to a student who believed in himself. I was probably not the only third-grader to propose to her, but many years later I learned she kept the purple ring I used for the proposal. Requiescat in pace, Miss Wiese!

Alice was the Park's surrogate mother- a rough task to be sure. We all loved her, and I could never imagine anything happening to her. God Bless you, Alice...make sure the angels in the back the bus all sit down.

Remembering Alice from my former Washington Park years. Always kind, caring, and fun to be around. To her family, I know your lives will always have great memories of her......I do.

Aunt Alice was the best. Always great with postcards from various trips, and Christmas was always a treat with a box full of goodies from her travels with Uncle Bob. I'm going to miss the multitude of pencils she would send.
