Alice was the best neighbor ever!! She would bring me pie and stop by for tea. Even better were our Thrift and garage sales. I miss her , she was a good friend and I will always remember her.

Alice, a dear friend who gave so much to her friends and to our community. She is remembered for her kindness generous spirit and hilarious sense of humor - and of course her furry big hat and"Alice fashion".

So often this last year I have thought of Alice and wished I could just pick up the phone and give her a call. Old friends are the best ones and with all the shared memories of growing up in Fairbanks this made Alice for me one of a very few dear ones that the friendship was maintained over moves and distance and time. She continues to be missed and thought of with the fondest of regards. As Marion May so aptly said, Alice was so very kind and delightful....a joy to have known.

She played Edith Piaf's "Non, Je ne regrette rien" for me on the Piano while I sang it in French and said to me: "You ( meaning me) were BORN to sing this!" It was perhaps the greatest compliment I ever had during my lifetime of singing. I am in Albany now...
