This tribute may indeed be late in coming, however Dr. Rodriguez, or "The Rod" as some of the younger UT students called her, probably referencing her "Paper Chase" ethics in her classroom. I was very fortunate as a UT student that Dr. Rodriguez seemed to like me and lent strong support to all the women students and students who learn with disabilities under her tenure in the Department of Physical and Health Education. Dr. Rodriguez was more than just my professor, she was an inspiration . I truly loved my time with her at UT . She was a blessing in my life and was like a mother to me. She always inspired me to excel in the classroom and on the field. She will always be in my heart.
