Aline Terry Vega

Aline Terry Vega passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at the age of 94. She was preceded in death by her father, Emile Terry, Sr.; mother, Kunigunda Shiner Terry; and her beloved husband, Wallace Mathew Vega, Jr. Loving mother to Wally Vega (Nell), Kathleen Howard (Don), Mary Vega (Cesar Martino), and Theresa Payan (Richard). Proud grandmother of Richelle Monier, Angie Tillman, Jason Howard, Justin Howard, Ross Payan, Aaron Payan, and sweet angel, Lili Martino. Devoted great-grandmother to Alex, Bryce, Lauren, Blake, Brooke, Joshua, Ava, John, Caitie, Andrew, Thomas, and Mariana. Sister of the late Marcell Smith and Emile Terry, Jr. After her children were grown, she enjoyed a career in real estate with Gertrude Gardner. She was very involved in the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Arabi prior to Katrina. Aline actively participated with the Carmelites, where she rose to the rank of the third order. She also loved going to the "Pink House" Jefferson Parish Senior Center. Aline loved to be around her family and friends and always enjoyed going to some of her favorite restaurants. Relative and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Ann Church and Shrine, 4940 Meadowdale Street in Metairie, on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 12:00PM. The visitation, including the recitation of the rosary, will be held at the church beginning at 10:00AM. The interment will follow the Mass at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum, and is for the family only. In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred or donations in Aline's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org).
