Mrs.Carvell & Cale - I was saddened to hear of Allen's death. My sympathies. Mrs.Carvell,thank you so much for Rainbo Ice Arena - which was and always will be a huge part of my life.

I still recall the pleasant days spent at Rainbo Arena as bookkeeper and the wonderful relationship with Allen. Please accept my sincerest condolence on your loss.

Allan was a Landmark Pro. He was one of the first in Chicago to promote group tennis lessons. He was ahead of his time, because he taught the virtues of "topspin" production. Above all, he was one of the sweetest gentlemen I have ever met. Tennis has lost a bit of LOVE with his passing. ANYONE who had ever had the privilege of knowing him will attest to this.
