Not sure what to say?

I stopped this morning, Father´s Day, to give thanks to the men who served as surrogate fathers to me. Having lost my father as a 4-year old, I looked outside to determine and understand the role of `father´. There was no finer example in my life than Dr Allan Chotiner. It is only now that I realize my career - high school coach, math teacher, assistant principal, and finally principal - has been an effort to replicate the lives of the men that shaped me. Not only did Dr. Chotiner influence...

Prepared me for further endeavors in life.

In my troubled years, Dr. Chotiner was a saving rock. I thought highly of him and miss him. I still owe him 15 days of detention.

Dr. Chotiner was such a wonderful gentleman. I know how you miss him. I loved working with him at HP during its start-up years and later when in life. I was honored to be asked to speak at his funeral.

I happen to look his name up just to see what it said and found out about his death. It is a great loss. I went to High Point in the 70's and admired his leadership and the excellent education I was receiving. I saw Nancy and what a proud and elegant woman she was becoming. Please know that he was admired and that we all feel a great loss and deep appreciation for him. Rodney M White 74

Just learned of Dr. Chotiner's passing. He was a wonderful principal as I taught
under him in the early 1960's.

What an incredible person Dr. Chotiner was. I was scolded and molded by him. Class of 58.
