I am so sorry to hear about Allan. Allan was an amazing inspiring man who I feel blessed to have known. His kind words and amazing personality was something that I will remember about him forever. Please accept my sincere sympathy. I will cherish the rock he gave me 8 years ago and am so thankful its meaning was written in an email. His memory will live with me forever.

Please accept my deepest sympathy. I knew Allan through my work as a Union Rep w/UFCW Local 1776. Al was a great guy with a wonderful sense of humor. One of my fondest memories was golfing with Al about 7 years ago at our Union's golf tournament. I also believe Allan's wife taught mein elementary school, so once again, please accept my condolences.

Like Mike and Tom who signed this guestbook before me, I was a classmate of Allan's at Central Catholic High School. My sincere condolences go to the entire Makowski family.

I met Allan only last year when he came to a Historical Society Meeting at Mountain Lake/Meadow Run. In a brief time period he shared his vast knowledge of the history of our area and captivated us all with his stories of Native Americans here in Wyoming Valley. He showed an abiding respect for their culture and was obviously deeply spiritual. We had no idea he was ill, as he was so upbeat and looking forward to participating in our committee. He had much to give. We are so very sorry for...
