Not sure what to say?

Allen and I went to school together grades 1-12. He and a friend did a fantastic two act play in a high school assembly, The Milk Train Doesn´t Stop Here Anymore. It made me a lifelong fan of Tennessee Williams..Such an Artist in every sense of the word..

I'm so lucky that a mutual friend let me know that Allan had died so I've spent the last week thinking of the years of dance and of being there when Carl died, dancing in the backyard. Both lovely men...

Allan was an amazing spirit. Graceful and beautiful in so many ways. A light for queer folk everywhere. I met him not long after he returned to North Carolina in 1979, although I knew of him already because of RFD magazine. An inspiration always.

I still remember his sensibility and beatiful aura from the first time I met him. He was a great and unique person

Allan was a dear friend and friend to my mother Gloria Warshaw. As my cousin Carl´s partner he was a treasured family member. On my last visit to NC we had a sweet lunch full of memories and recent news and events. We walked in the woods and delighted in one another . I will miss him always.

You always inspired me when you would come to Kinkos to create. One of my favorite customers and you will be missed!!

Wow. This is so sad to me. My family and the Troxlers were close - we were neighbors in Greensboro and their kids' ages corresponded closely to ours. My sister Jane was Allan's age and they were friends throughout school and beyond. Becky, Allan's youngest sister, played flute at Jane's daughter's wedding many years ago. My other sister, Ruth, was close friends to Nancy. They stayed in touch a long time after both were adults. My condolences to all the Troxlers - from all the...

Such a beautiful soul.
