Dr. Bergin consulted with me on a military psychotherapy outcomes study while I was in the Air Force 1976-1978. I had thoroughly studied his work in developing our experimental protocol and couldn't believe that the AF funded bringing him to Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center to consult with us before beginning the study. Having had the privilege of working with Dr. Bergin in committees and the honor of sharing the podium with him a time or two, I have not seen him for many years and am surprised and saddened that I now see him in the obituaries.
