Not sure what to say?

To the family of Dr. Verhey:
I did not know Allen Verhey, except through his book that I am reading now, The Great Reversal. I asked for it at my library because of its title, not knowing what a scholar Dr. Verhey was. Nor did I know that he had died. Today reading one third of the way through the book, I wanted to know more about this author. I googled him and now have arrived at this website.

I want you, his family, to know how Allen Verhey lives on in his life work. I am deeply...

To Phyllis, I am saddened that we have lost touch with you. I continue to hold you up in my prayers as I have done since the day we learned of Allens passing. Please reconnect! Sending my love.

Dear Phyl,
Please know how much we care and grieve for you and your children/grandchildren as you face the time ahead without Al. You are on our hearts and in our prayers. It's hard to convey our sadness and sympathy in words. . . wish we could hug you and cry with you.

Phyllis, we are so sorry to hear of Al's death. Dave has fond memories of growing up with his Verhey cousins. We will be praying for you and your family as you go through the difficult journey of missing him.

Phyllis,

We were just so sorry to learn of Allen's passing. We have such fond memories of both of you in your years at Hope. May you literally feel the love and prayers of so many that are lifting you up into His Healing Light.
Warmly,
Ray and Sue Smith

So sorry to hear about Allen. My sincere sympathy to the family. May Almighty God provide you with comfort and peace during this difficult time of your life (2 Cor 1:3).

I enjoyed working with Allen during his time in Houston. It was a privilege to know such an intelligent yet compassionate and caring man. Gwen Sherwood

I will remember Professor Verhey as a thoughtful teacher with a gentle spirit. Prayers and love to his family during this time.

Dr. Verhey was a great teacher. It was my honor to take several religion classes from him while he served at Hope College. I read and appreciated many of his books. My favorite was his commentary on the catechism.
