My sister and brothers and I grew up with Laurie next door. He was my best buddy for quite a few years. We romped all over that mountain, and knew every inch of that beautiful river we were lucky enought to have. Ran with the beautiful sister and brothers too. These were great memories. I am so sorry for your loss kids. Am thinking of you all. Big hugs. LeeAnn Lester. (Haralson)

I have many good memories of Allen from a thirty year career with him at Camas/Washougal fire. I was stunned to hear the news.My sympathies to Julie and the rest of the family.

Shocked when I saw the paper this morning. We worked together for many many years. I remember sitting on Yacolt mountain in his Plymouth Champ drinking beer and playing bacgammon while watching the volcano steam and spout. We ran many EMS and fire calls together and couldn´t believe how far we had come over the yeats (BC and Acting BC). I will be there in November to honor those memories and many more.
