Ronnie. we all felt a great fondness for Alma; she did so much for our family during her years at DB. Not only did Alma coach our daughters but I had the privilege to coach track under Alma's supervision. She did so much for so many.

"When I Must leave You"
When I must leave you for a little while, please do not grieve and shed wild tears and hug your sorrow to you through the years, but start out bravely with a gallant smile; and for my sake and in my name live on and do all things the same, feed not your loneliness on empty days, but fill each waking hour in useful ways, reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer and I in turn will comfort you and hold you near; and never, never be afraid to die, for I am waiting for you in the sky!

Ronnie and your family, we miss Alma as you do and will never forget her.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

I took care of Mrs. B during her stay at Tulane.
I am so sorry I missed saying goodbye;I was in Belize where I thought of her often. My last conversation with her,she spoke of her travels in Europe--her eyes lit up with the warm memories. Mr. B she loved you so much --she asked me --"Josie did you see my Honey."
she lives on in our hearts--she spoke
fondly of the many less fortunate
children she cared for and about.
I know you and the children will miss
her for sure.
Sleep well dear Mrs. B--in God's arms.
I will never forget you!!

To the Bonnaffons family: Alma was truly a great friend, we always had great laughs. Always full of life. My days in High School and the pass years, will and always remain very special. Alma was a very special person, that you meet, only once in a life time. I will truly miss you, my friend.

Mr. Ronnie, Ron, & Patti,

Ms. Alma was a truly loved person. So many of us have special memories from our youth at DiBenedetto Park and her as our coach, the rides in that red VW Van to Gernon Brown or wherever. Then I was lucky enough to bump into her occasionally in more recent years. She never changed. She'll always be in our hearts and very special to me. Take care, and Ms. Alma and you all are in my prayers.

My sympathy to Alma's family. I knew Alma from my ball playing days that started at Gernon Brown gym - she was a great ball player (no matter what sport) It had been years since I saw her but I was able to see her back in March at a party. I am so glad I was able to spend some time talking to her. She will be missed.
