I met Bro. Al several years ago and I to will remember him for his singing. When he visited our church(African Universal Baptist) he was always ready to sing upon the pastor's request.

He'd pass our home each day as he sat with his mother down the street from us and he would stop by and tell of God's goodness and how he was so blessed to be able to care for his mother.

To the Salters family:
I remember Alphonso from the days at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and during my school days. He was photogrphed by me at the reunion of the L. R. Burns Choir on last year. We spoke of his illness as well as mine, for I too have diabetes. He will be greatly missed around Tru-Way but we shall see him again someday and rejoy together.
