To Cynthia and Family,
2 Corinthians 5:1,6,8 - For we know that if our earthly house, of this tabernacle were dis-solved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. Therefore we are always confident, knowing that whilst we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord.
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. Al was a wonderful person and he loved to talk about the Goodness of Jesus and no matter who he meet he would tell them about Jesus.
Remember, those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday, still loved, still missed and very dear. Death leaves a heartache No one can heal; Love leaves a memory No one can steal.
Our hearts goes out to the family and you in your time of sorrow.
May your heart and soul find peace and comfort through Christ Jesus

To the Family and love ones of Brother Al,
I met Bro. Al several years ago and I to will remember him for his singing. When he visited our church(African Universal Baptist) he was always ready to sing upon the pastor's request.
He'd pass our home each day as he sat with his mother down the street from us and he would stop by and tell of God's goodness and how he was so blessed to be able to care for his mother.
No matter what was happening in his life he always had a smile. I could tell that he was a lover of people. He will be truly missed.
It is my prayer today that God would comfort and strengthen you during this time but keep in mind that God will never leave or forsake you. He is only a prayer away, call Him, He promised to answer. I know He will. God Bless each of you.

To the Salters family:
I remember Alphonso from the days at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and during my school days. He was photogrphed by me at the reunion of the L. R. Burns Choir on last year. We spoke of his illness as well as mine, for I too have diabetes. He will be greatly missed around Tru-Way but we shall see him again someday and rejoy together.
God bless and keep all of you is my prayer.

To the Salters Family:
I am very saddened by the loss of our dear brother, Alphonso Salters. I've known him as long as I've known myself - as far back to the many years at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church on Spruce Street. I can visualize him singing in the L.R. Burns Choir, but now he's singing in the heavenly choir with so many others that have gone on.
He will be truly missed and we'll always remember him for his lining of his favorite hymnal, "A Charge to Keep I Have".
May God strengthen and keep you and know that earth has no sorrow, that heaven cannot heal.
