Just learned of Alta's untimely passing. I am so sorry. I remember her as one of the prettiest little girls I ever saw. My sympathies to her family.

I will never forget all the overnights and great times at Ma-Maw's house; chasing peacocks and pigs, riding horses; picking daffodils from her yard. Not to mention, sitting on her front porch talking for hours.Yes,those were simpler...

Alta was as beautiful inside as she was outside. Such a wonderfully nice and sweet lady. I will miss her and will always be grateful that I was able to know her and call her "friend."
