Alva Mary Bellomo

To the Bellomo, I did not know Miss Alva Bellomo, but she sounded like a gem of a lady. These senior Italian Americans, mainly from the Mission and North Beach, embodied the perseverance and strength of the old country ways. They always did what was needed, and took care of their families. My sincere condolences are with you. Riposa in pace.

I had the honor of knowing Alva (and her mother) first as a landlord, then as a lifelong friend. I loved her stories about Italy and frankly any conversation we had was a delight. I have many good memories and will always hold her dear in my heart. My deepest condolences to all her family.
