My heartfelt condolences to you and your family. My favorite Uncle Al was a very kind man and always treated me with respect. I spent many days during the summer with him in the 50's at the Almar. In 1961 at the age of 11 he found out I had my eye on an old gocart frame for sale at $30. So he let me spend some of that summer staying with him and Marlene doing some chores at the 400 club earning that $30. He, like my Dad taught me a strong work ethic at a very young age. I don't know if you remember me, but your parents were an important part of my life. My mother was the cook when they bought the 400 Club. I was the first paperboy at Pleasant Lake and picked up the papers at the 400 Club each day. On hot days Al would give me a cold 7-up, and I always got a friendly hello.
