Alvin Catron Obituary
MANSFIELD: Mr. Alvin Wytt Catron, age 91, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away Thursday morning, December 18, 2014 at the Crystal Care Nursing Home.
He was born June 18, 1923 in Olive Hill, KY, a son of George Catron and Pearl Mabry Catron. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Flannery Catron; brothers, Willard Catron, Ray Catron, and Austin Catron; and sisters, Betty Catron, Ada Bond, and Edith Sparks.
Alvin is survived by one son, Scotty Catron; two daughters, Dottie Vaughn and Linda Wilson; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandson; brother, Garner Catron; and sisters, Velma Stamper, Virginia Caudill, and Florence Jones.
Alvin was retired from the Mansfield Tire and Rubber Company. He enjoyed planting a garden and watching it grow through the summer. He also enjoyed his bon fires with anyone who would stop and visit for awhile.
Friends may call Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario. A private family burial will take place in Mansfield Memorial Park.
