DWORMAN--Alvin, real estate developer, merchant banker and entrepreneur, a "master in the art of living" for whom work and play were synonymous, passed away peacefully, January 29, 2023, at his home in Scottsdale. A life-long New Yorker until his semi-retirement, Alvin, "AD", was born in...

I just learned of Alvin Dworman's passing. It has been many years since I have been in New York, working with his brothers, Lester and Darryl. They were my mentors, at a time when others could not be bothered. I am forever grateful for their advice, friendship, and sincerity. Their office was like a second home. I will never forget them. My condolences to the Dworman family. God bless you always.

This was a great American with whom I worked as a lawyer in Washington DC for many years. All the U.S. Senators from New York, especially Sen. Moynihan, considered him a friend as did many Senators of both parties from other states. He would wear a lapel pin with the number 42 in commemoration of the years he worked with Jackie Robinson in sports promotion before the Dodger great broke into the Major Leagues. His overseas service in WWII was mostly classified as it was with the OSS --...

AD was one of the most brilliant men I have been privileged to know. Yet AD was so much more than brilliant. More than his intellect, energy, and spirit, AD was the consummate gentleman. Wanda, AD´s lovely wife (and a very talented painter) once shared a fun story when a table with successful business persons described their best wins; Wanda was adamant she...

I had the fortune of working at one of Mr. Dworman´s real estate properties he developed and operated in Santa Barbara (the beautiful Bacara Resort & Spa) and he would always take the time to stop and chat with every team member and thank them for their hard work and commitment to creating lasting memories for our guests. A class act and true legend and who left the world a better place through his efforts and accomplishments. Warmest regards and condolences to the Doorman's. Wayne Barnes...

So sorry to hear of AD's passing. Wonderful obit, right on the money! I'll never forget walking on Madison Avenue with my 6 year-old son, (at the time), Manny, and running into Mr. Dworman, and he said, "How's your big guy"? and he engaged in conversation with him. Made my son feel great and important that an adult took such interest in him. Condolences to Mrs. D, RD and family. God bless, Jeff Sado

We worked together in Olympic Towers and have known each other socially and professionally since 1976. Alvin was one of a kind and an exceptional and wonderful person to have known. Condolences and prayers to his surviving wife and children. John J Hoey
