Not sure what to say?

I only just found out about AJ today. While we knew he'd been sick, we didn't know the details or that he had passed. We dealt with Rudd's Auto Parts for years, getting difficult-to-find parts a lot: if no one else could track them down, AJ could. I can still hear him in my head answering the phone, "AJ's Auto Parts". We're really going to miss him.

My wife and I had moved over to Suffolk from Hampton about 3 years ago, and became neighbors with Jason and A.J. both. A.J. would always wave when he went down to Jason's house which is across from ours, and mow his lawn. Although we never met personally, I have spoken with Jason and his wife several times down by the Nansemond River evenings while out riding in our UTVs. Jason, I am sorry for your loss brother. My wife and I are here for you if you need to talk. We just lost her mother down...

Cheryl, I am so sorry to hear of Als passing. He was such a kind and generous man. My prayers are with you and the family in this difficult time .

I was saddened to hear of AJ's passing. Sorry we could not be there with you at this time as Chuck is bed ridden. I always remembered AJ on August 1st...God bless you and your family at this difficult time.

AJ will be missed by many! My thoughts & prayers go to all the family in their time of loss. Know he has gone to a better place, with no suffering or pain. Our history goes back decades to the time his father & mine raced together. From there to the salvage yard for MORE years, and AJ was always there to help! I miss him, too, and he will always be my GOOD friend!

AJ Rudd was a good man. He helped a lot of people in his lifetime. He helped my father many times over the years. He helped me numerous times. And he has helped my brother, Cliff, since they both were teenagers. I am a better man for knowing him.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Cheryl, Jason, Chris and all of their families

I am so sorry to hear of AJ passing. I will always remember all of the good times we all had together. Chryl,I wanted to call you but I have lost your phone number. I looked for you on FB but I could only find AJ and the boys.

AJ was a renaissance man. He was a gracious man. Those lives who he touched will miss him. SD

I was so sorry to hear of AJ's passing, my condolences to the entire family. I have known them my entire life & have such wonderful memories of so many times being at the yard with my dad to visit with Mr. Rudd, AJ, & Ricky. One memory that comes to mind is when I took my daughter up there when she was a baby to meet them & AJ picking on me telling me I was old now & I told him to just remember that he had known me since I was that age & him & his dad just laughing. AJ always had a smile &...
