Not sure what to say?

Marge,

It was wonderful to meet your mother at the Fashion Show, Although she didn't know me, we seemed to have instant rapport. I remember her casual elegance, compassion, and sense of humor. I know you will miss her. You are in my prayers.

Dear Marge,

I am so sorry about your mom. What a wonderful person she was, truly. I didn't know her well - mostly through you and your stories. But the fact that she made a blanket for Julia continues to touch me. That, and her down-to-earth friendly manner and the spirit that came through your stories of her, as well as Danny's eulogy - she was wonderful - what else can I say...I wrote to "the nuns" and asked for their prayers in her memory as well as prayers for you and your...

Dear Margaret,
I was so deeply sorrowed when I learned about the passing of your mother. However inadequate any words are at a time like this, I hope it may comfort you a little to know how many people across the country are thinking for you at this difficult time. My heart goes out to you.

Alyse Roach, Matt's UCSB Graduation Party, 2003

Dear Margaret,

I was very saddened to hear of the passing of your beloved mom, yet I am gladdened by the thought that you both were given the opportunity to be near each other, in her last hours. The passing of one’s mom can never be easy, but may it ease the pain, just a little, to know how many people share your sorrow and stand with you in your time of need. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Hi Aunt Marge,

I wanted to extend my condolences to you and your family. Alyce was a wonderful woman, a pleasure to be around and even like a third grandma to me and Colleen. I loved her sense of humor and wise cracks. As I write to you now it's hard to contain my sadness. She will be dearly missed.

I understand you'll be visiting the East Coast this week. Please, if there is anything my family or I can do to support or assist you and your family, let me know. Alyce...

Dear Mike and Family:

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family in this difficult hour. It is my hope that a blanket of comfort and peace be with you.

Dear Margie, Raymond, Michael, Kathleen, and Tim,
We are so sorry to hear about your mom. She was a amazing person and always made us feel like part of the family. I have many, many fond memories of her, both in Philadelphia and San Jose. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you at this difficult time.
With love,
Ellen, Tony, Lauren, and Allison

Dear Michael and family,
It seems so inadequate to say "I'm sorry for your loss." My heart and thoughts are with you at this time.
