My deepest condolences to Sergei and Sophie.
I remember Amy as having a unique combination of gentleness and acuity, and my conversations with her - about her teacher Lois Ebin, about Bakhtin (whom she disliked), about crossword puzzles and the NY Times acrostic in particular (and much more) - are still absolutely vivid to me. She was a wonderful friend.
