Amy Caroline Coe

1960 - 2022

Amy Caroline Coe passed away at the age of 62 on Saturday, February 5, 2022, with her family by her side. Amy was born in McComb, MS on January 28, 1960, to Juanita Sinclair Coe and Richard Maple Coe, Jr. Amy grew up in Baton Rouge with her parents and siblings. She pursued a career in architecture on the East coast. First, as an architectural designer with HOK Architects in Washington, D.C. And later, as a project manager with Rafael Vinoly Architects in New York, NY. After an illustrious career that spanned two decades and took her to numerous cities and countries around the world, she moved home to Baton Rouge to care for her family. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother, Evelyn Juanita Sinclair Coe, brother, James Coe, and niece, Kara Coe. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jessica Coe and her father, Richard M. Coe, Jr. Amy's capacity for love was enormous. She deeply adored her family, especially her beloved niece, Kara, and her dear friends both in Baton Rouge and across the country. Amy had a passion for history, design, and all things beautiful and interesting. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, beginning at 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Graveside services and burial to be held in McComb, MS on Thursday, February 10, 2022 beginning at 11:30 a.m. To honor her love of animals, donations may be made to Capital Area Animal Welfare Society, 6357 Quinn Dr., Baton Rouge, LA 70817.
