Not sure what to say?

To the entire family: I have words at a time like this. But, I feel extremely honored to have known Amy in high school - and to have caught up with her at the reunion in 2006. Her bravery and optimism in the face of that 12 year battle that she fought is humbling and something we can all learn from. I feel horrible that she left us at such a young age. Her family remains in my thoughts and prayers!

"Sometimes it makes me sad though... I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright. And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up does rejoice. But still, the place you live in is that much more gray and empty that they're gone...

Goodbye, Amy. You have always been a fantastic friend, and you are missed very much.

“Don't cry because it's over....

To AMy's family: we are sorry to hear of your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love Lew, Claudia, Tyler Shannon and Tiffany and MIke Pierson.

What an amazing person Amy was. I went to Cornell College with her and was her roommate for two years, and she was one of the funniest people I had ever met! We shared so many good times together. I can't believe she is gone....my thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

Carole and Jack,
We are saddened by reading about the death of Amy. We are thinking of you all and praying for comfort in all the memories you have of her.

You are in our thoughts and prayers. Remember the good times with this wonderful child.

I graduated from Topeka West with Amy. Though I didn't know her well, I was saddened to hear of her passing at such a young age. Her life as evidenced by her actions and gifts to the world was one that was was well-lived and a model for all of us.

I am saddened to hear about Amy's passing. We attended high school together, and I considered her a very good friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

Respectfully,
Chad Rein (Topeka, KS)

You all are in our thoughts and prayers.
