Andrea and I first met in 2006 when my young family moved to Portland. Her cousin Pat introduced us and we spent our first afternoon painting wine and martini glasses. We became instant friends who enjoyed trying all sorts of new activities. I talked her into taking pottery classes and she convinced me to take painting classes from the wonderful artist and teacher, Betty Durham. Andrea felt like a long lost sister since the moment I met her. A classy dame with a naughty sense of humor. Just the perfect combination. We met later in life but I think we made up for lost time. She had strong moral compass, a fierce intellect and a kind heart. I will miss her forever and will always smile when I think of her.
