CPT Schloemann was a dedicated soldier to the soldiers and mission while we deployed to Afghanistan. CPT Schloemann traveled from base to base tirelessly to accomplish base shutdowns. Without regard to himself he accomplished all he was asked to do. The ARNG will miss him. God's Love to the family.

Dr. Dre schloemann,
Met him in Afghanistan while serving with the British army as the only recovery mechanic in the camp providing close support to my fellow British soldiers, as I was alone I decided to take a walk to the board walk, people mentioned to me many times about the food they had there and the coffees and the football games they sometimes had going on, anyway, I walked along by myself and heard people laughing, I decided to ask politely to join them as I felt pretty alone there, that's where I met dre, "excuse me, I heard you all having a good time and wondered if I could join?"
Dre without hesitation offered me his seat and gave me my first cigar, from then on I met up with him and his fellow officers every night, sharing pizza and living a part of his American Dream as it felt! I'll never forget that after only knowing him for a week, my final day there he gave me a leaving gift, a medic pack with the Union Jack flag on the front full of cigars, I'll neve forget the smile and how welcome he made me feel, both from different backgrounds and different armies but both with the same joyful personalities,
Sir, thanks for having a great impact on me and everyone that you've met, you'll be missed but never forgotten, I'll light a candle and have a beer for you the old British Way this Christmas, to your family and friends im sorry for such a huge loss.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them❤

I deployed with CPT Schloemann during 2013-14 and I am sad to know that I have lost a friend. He was a master at networking because of his ability to adapt to any environment. He made friends with Soldiers from other countries that barely spoke English. I will miss our talks about Gamecock Football. He is a friend that would do anything for you at any given time. Miss you Sir, take care.

My Son Ryan John Osborne was serving with the British Army in Afghanistan and was fortunate to know Andres and became friends. My Son has mentioned on several occasions that his time in Afghanistan was often made easier by caring words and gestures from Andres. I am truly sorry for your loss and thankful that my Son and Andres crossed paths in Afghanistan. They often enjoyed talking and smoking those incredibly large cigars together. RIP Mr Schloemann and thank you for your service, care, compassion and friendship towards my Son.

Andrew Osborne.

Capt. Schloemann will be deeply missed by the Rast family. He was a great person. I remember him as a happy person, very determined. I remember during the border mission at Fort Huachuca in the early beginning, myself and the other armorer, the supply Sgt., and the LT. Schloemann were in the what would be main office. He wanted some camo netting hung up in the office somehow to give the office a cool vibe, I had to figure out how to staple this giant netting up, so I just miraculously winged it and he loved it. I will always remember that day hanging out with him. I will miss you sir, and i always looked up to you.
