ANDY "HAPPY BITHDAY" WE LOVE YOU

I am saddened beyond words.

You will be forever missed my friend, but I know that you are now arguing BBQ with Matt.
With love, Shalom, Mimi

I just checked my email to see this news, and though he's risen to glory two months ago, the tears keep filling up my eyes. He was such a wonderful, funny, onerry young curmudgeon. I am so very sorry that he's not going to be an old curmudgeon (sixty really is young to this 73-year-old listmate!)

I'm a bit jealous of those of you who were good enough friends to know him as Andy. He was Andrew to the members of the Sewanee alumni listserve, where he always energized our email exchanges with his wit and wisdom. The sad news reached us only yesterday, and we're sharing stories and Andrew's memorable quotes. My condolences to his family and good friends. He is missed.

I had the privilege of both on-line and face-to-face acquaintanceship with this fine person. We shared a couple of lunches, as well as much correspondence. He attended my ordinations. We will all be poorer for his absence among us.

He was one of the first to go to help in emergencies like cyclones etc. We met Andrew in May 2004. A lovely big, strong, caring, dependable friend. I have photos of that meeting at http://piopionz. com/gallery2/v/RIP-Andrew_Auld/
