My condolence on your loss of Dr. Andrew Brimmer. Our relationship goes "way back" to my undergrad days when he was one of a few senior economists who hosed a conference at Pascal's and the AU center to convince more young African Americans to become Ph.D. economists. My deapest sympathy to the Brimmer family. I recall with immense pleasure of listening to and sharing with fellow members of the D.C. chapter of the National Association of Minority Developers, Dr.Brimmer's statiscal data on the national income and purchasing power of black consumer during the mid 1960s. We of course used his info to bolters our credability within the companies we where employed.I was a marketing representative with ESSO (EXXON/MOBIL)during that time.
