Mr. Gazsi was born in Shelton on July 16, 1930, son of the late Andrew J. and Elizabeth Patrick Gazsi. A resident of Oxford for most of his life, he was employed as a civil engineer for many government and municipal agencies, including F.E.M.A., throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico, until his retirement. He leaves to cherish his memory, former spouse, Ann Marie Gazsi, loving sons, Andrew P. Gazsi (Gina) of Oxford, Christopher M. Gazsi (Susan) of Naugatuck and Dr. Michael P. Gazsi (Christina) of Danbury, cherished grandchildren, Jessica Petzing (Seth) of Bristol, Jonathan and Joseph Gazsi of Naugatuck, Anthony and Nicholas Gazsi of Oxford and Anna, Rebekah, Benjamin, Daniel, Matthew and Timothy Gazsi of Danbury.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Monday February 5, 2018, at 10:00 am, at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel, 15 Pepper Street in Monroe, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will immediately follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. There will be no visiting hours.
