Andrew McADAMS Obituary

MCADAMS, Andrew Jahu II

61, of Palm Harbor, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015, in Augusta, GA. He was born on May 1, 1953 in Norfolk, VA and was raised in Columbia, SC. He graduated from college at the University of South Carolina and received his Master of Accountancy from the University of Georgia. He began his career at Coopers & Lybrand (PricewaterhouseCoopers), led the Tampa and Orlando PwC offices, and retired after more than 30 years of service in 2008. He married his wife, Dede Billirakis, in 1977. Andy was an avid golfer, a passion he shared with his son, grandson, and many friends. He was involved in many civic organizations during his career, and most recently served on the board of the Salvation Army in Clearwater. He was past president of the Tampa Club, founder of Quad Club IV, past parish council member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. He is preceded in death by his father, Jahu Cornelius. Andy is survived by his wife, Dede; his mother, Jewell; his daughter, Renee (Andrew) and grandchildren Andrew, Tula, and Josephine; his daughter, Julie Anne; his son, Andrew III (Maria); his brother, Keith; and his sister, Nancy. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 pm at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home in Clearwater. The burial service will be held on Thursday at 11 am at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Andy's name to the Salvation Army Clearwater and Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Please visit www.sylvanabbey.com for photos and to send condolences.
