Still miss seeing Andrew´s amazing Streets Of San Francisco motorcycle pics. He had a great talent for catching everyday riders, and making them look Vibrant & Cool. His pics were part of what convinced me to take another ride across the USA & have a great adventure. Thanks for the inspiration. - Peter Woods

Drew and I met quite randomly in San Francisco back in 2007, before he was due to move up to Washington. During that short period, he was so generous and willing to become fast friends. We kept in touch even after he had moved, and hung out in Seattle in late 2009. Shortly thereafter, our communication stalled, and aside from a brief email in 2013, we lost touch. Andrew was the first person I spoke to the first morning I was at the hospital, and I was struck by his open demeanor, compassion, and kindness during a distressing time for me--and what must have been a hard time for him as well, although he bore it well. He spent time answering questions and telling me about himself, his motorcycle adventures and his diagnosis. His empathy was there every day, and I wish so much that he and I had a chance to hang out. We emailed back and forth a little bit...

To My Old Friend Hadi And Family..
Your eulogy for Andrew was beautiful Hadi. Hopefully it will give hope and inspiration to others who may be going through the same dilemma. I am so sorry for you and your family and I know that no matter what I say or how I say it, nothing can ease your pain. Only time can do that. I also lost a brother and best friend from back in High School days to this bipolar disease.. Although Andrew was a troubled soul, know that for his short time with...

Dear Kathy, Hadi, and Matthew,
We just learned of Andrew's passing an hour ago and are still in shock. He was such a bright, brilliant star in the lives of all who knew him; he accomplished so much in his short life and had so much promise. We cannot imagine what you have been going through. This is a wonderful testament to his life -- thank you for doing this. Please know that our thoughts and love are with you all. -- Courtenay, Henning and Christoph
