Not sure what to say?

I grew up in South Bend and played against Andy in high school and either Babe Ruth or Senior League when he played for Yeager Buick. I only met him a few times, but I remember his sportsmanship and humility, despite his obvious talents on the diamond. So sorry to read of his passing in 2012.

So many years have passed Andy, you´re still a big part of my heart . Keep Watching over us

I lived in South Bend for such a short time, but Andy was a good friend of mine in 8th and 9th grade. We played baseball together on the Clay Junior High team in 8th grade and won the South Bend city championship that year in a very large part due to Andy´s pitching talent. Even at that young age I was always in awe of his fastball and wicked curve ball. He was also a great quarterback and threw a great deep ball with such a strong arm. Somehow I still remember his laugh and spoken...

Always in my heart ,

Do not stand by my grave and weep
I am not there I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamonds in the snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain
When you awake in the morning hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight
I am the soft starlight at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there - I did not die .

I had the great pleasure of playing with Andy in the St. Louis Cardinals Organization for three season's, 75, 76, 77. He was a talented pitcher and a great human being! We use to talk about South Bend, In. a lot because he was born there and most of my family was from there too. My condolences go out to his family. R.I.P. Andy.

Bill, Queen and Dan,
We were saddened to hear about Andy's passing. Our family has many good memories from when you lived in Fort Wayne. The Fisher Family

I am so sad to hear of Andy's passing. I was a teammate of Andy's and caught him in 1972 when we played for the Komet's Connie Mack team in Fort Wayne. There was a magnetism about Andy that made you want to be in his orbit and just made him unforgettable. My deepest sympathies to the Replogles and his fiancee'.
