Dear Samachs,
Twenty-seven years ago, I had emergency surgery for an ectopic pregnancy. Andy Samach was the doctor at the hospital to whom I was assigned. He was kind, efficient and did a great job - I lived to have three sons, who are now in their mid 20s. I was surprised to read about his death and I am so sorry for your loss. Both my parents died this year and, while I am very sad, I can only imagine the scope of your tragedy.

To the Samach and Daley Families -

We are so saddened to hear of your loss and can only imagine how devastating the last few weeks have been. However, it is important to remember how fortunate Andy was to have the privilege to affect the lives of so many families in such a positive manner. He will remain an important part of so many peoples' lives. I had the pleasure of working with Andy when I was in training in Burlington. Despite how our health care system is changing, the...

Dear Samach family,
I knew your father and husband many years ago as his teacher and friend.
As is always the case the teacher teaches and mentors the student, and with great students like Andy, both become better for their efforts. It was strange that a few weeks ago he was suddenly on my mind. I am so saddened that his life and career have ended so soon. I have no doubts he created a wide path of caring during his journey. My warmest wishes and condolences to the whole family.

I am so sorry for your family's loss. I had the pleasure and honor of working at MCHV with Andy, who also became my obstetrician for the birth of my daughter. I had the upmost respect and confidence in him and would not have had anyone else in his place. Take comfort in knowing that Andy touched many lives in a caring and professional way. My deepest thoughts are with in this difficult time.

It was my joy to meet Andy's sister Terry just recently (on a bike ride in Denmark-) where we became fast friends and covered much about our lives in just a few days, as though we have known each other all along. She spoke of her brother with such love and pride that I have no doubt that he has touched and blessed many, many lives. My heart goes out to Terry and the family, and to all who were lucky enough to know him.

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Dr. Samach's passing. He was by ob/gyn when I was pregnant with my daughter in 1988. I had many miscarriages and Dr. Samach worked very hard to have my next pregnancy be a success. While I was on bedrest at 25 weeks in the hospital, he visited every day and took the most amazing care of me and my daughter. He was forever my advocate and I will be eternally grateful. When I was in my 30th week he left for Thanksgiving making me promise not have this...

Dr. Samach brought both of my children into this world. I had complications with both births and cannot thank him enough for the wonderful things he did for me and my children. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I also had the great pleasure of working for Andy so many years ago. He was so much fun to work for- I have wonderful memories of those days so long ago- he was and will always be my favorite "Boss"
Mary Jane my deepest sympathies to you and your family!
