Anita Elizabeth Rivere Templet

A native of Bruley St. Vincent and resident of Pierre Part, she passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at her home on Oct. 19, 2016, at age 91. She was a loving, mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt who will be missed by all who loved her. She was a loving wife for 67 years to the late Loveless Joseph Templet who passed away in 2010. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and cooking. She especially loved spending time with family. She is survived by her children, Shirley Landry and husband Alvin, Margaret Ackman and husband Daniel, and Norbert Templet and wife Brenda; grandchildren, Alisa Blanchard and husband Don, Alvin "J.R." Landry, Jr. and wife Teresa, Tammy Templet and husband Scott, Ken Barras, Dane Barras and wife Bonnie, and Raven Templet; step grandchildren, Daniel Ackman Jr., Jenny Ackman, and Jeremy Ackman and wife Amanda; great-grandchildren, Jennifer Aucoin and husband Jonathan, Donny Blanchard, Jessica and Grace Landry, Cassie Templet and fiancé Eddie Ketchum, Michelane Crochet and husband Caleb, Luke and Taylor Barras, Mallory Borne, Brooke Turley, Emily and Isabella Ackman, Elizabeth and Scott Boudoin; great-great grandchildren, Paisley Ketchum, Emmalyn Crochet, and baby Aucoin; sister, Lelia Gaudet, and brother, Larry Rivere and wife Ruby; sister in law, Geraldine Rivere, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Eola Cedotal Rivere; grandchildren, Tanya Ann Templet and John Paul Landry; step-great grandson Jim Boudoin, Jr.; sisters, Anaise Cedotal, Amie Cavalier, and Annie Breaux; brothers, Jean, Herman, Ivery, and Eves Rivere. Visitation will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Pierre Part, Monday, Oct. 24, from 8 am to 11:45 am. A Mass of Christian burial will be at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Pierre Part, at 12 pm with the Rev. Al Davidson, celebrant. Burial in the church cemetery.
