Ann Blythe Obituary

Funeral services for Ann B. Blythe, 83, Gadsden, will be at 1 p.m. today at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. The Rev. Larry Garrard will officiate. Interment will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Services directing. Mrs. Blythe passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at Riverview Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Glen D. Blythe; son, Eddie Blythe, and daughter-in-law, Ann Blythe; daughter, Glenda Ashley, and son-in-law, Steve Ashley; grandchildren, Cindy Johnston, Allison Blythe, Annette Blythe, Steven (Leslie) Ashley, Beau (Ashleigh) Ashley and Ryan Ashley; great-grandchildren, Dylan Johnston, Thad and Henry Ashley and Garrett and Morgan Ashley; sisters, Mildred Berry, Audra Burger and Margie (Carlton) Camp; brother-in-law, Clyde (Bettye) Blythe; sister-in-law, Hazel (Ray) Davis; and a host of dear nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Mary Baswell; brother Willard Baswell; and daughter-in-law, Gail Blythe. Pallbearers will be Steven Ashley, Beau Ashley, Ryan Ashley, Steve Ashley, Jason Pierce, Larry Pierce and Jack Baswell. Special thanks to Dr. Ralph Wesley and Dr. Fernandez. Visitation will be at Collier Butler from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today with services to follow. Condolences can be made on line at www.collier-butler.com.
