Not sure what to say?

I corresponded with Ann long after her playing days. She was a great Person and she sent me a lot of Signed Pictures which I cherish. Missing her very much.

My heart breaks knowing Ann..since I was in grammar school at St. Agnes, San Francisco...I miss her and in my prayers and wish I could contact her sweet Sister Hazel who I had crush on since High School...mine at St. Ignatius..1948-52 If you out there Hazel...drop your old boy friend note..I am praying and will for lovely Ann...she was a classic lady, like you..

My dad took me to the roller derby many times when I was young and Ann was his favorite and soon became mine too. She was dynamic and fearless. I cherish the times I got to go and see her.

Thank you for sharing a part of your life with us.

I just found out today that Ann had died. My heart is broken. Back in the 60's I skated minor league roller derby. I was so fancinated by her, and then in 64 I had the opportunity to skate with her in Hawaii because one of the skaters got injured. I was only 16 at the time so she kept her eyes on me while I traveled with all the skaters. I will always remember her. Thank you Ann for all of my memories

when i was little boy, always watched her on derby in san francisco. i missed you so much. everyone loves you!

Ann: Thanks for such wonderful memories. You were the GREATEST a true inspiration to many. I'm sure you have already started a team up in heaven. I have been a HUGE fan of yours since the 60's. Ann in all sincerity you really helped shape the way I live my life, and I thank you BIG TIME.

my goodness the memories come flooding in , my 6 children (5 girls,1 son )and parents were fanatics. we all had skates and skated regularly in golden gate park with family and friends. our own roller derby team. what emmense joy and fun she gave us.

My heart broke when I heard of ANN CALVELLO leaving us! You see ANN CALVELLO was a great influence on my life! She was known as THE FIERY AND "UNPREDICTABLE" ANN CALVELLO." I send my prayers to the family with the words that ANN was an inspiration to me in my youth. I remember Walt Harris asking her "If she ever felt afraid?" ANN CALVELLO replied "You never feel afraid, because if you do "thats when you get hurt!"
There will never be another ANN CALVELLO! GOD BLESS AND THANK YOU ANN FOR...
