What can I say. She will be missed. I remember meeting Ann and Dr. Johnson's house for Wednesday lunch. Listening to her talk with the other Activists in the crowd gave me courage to go out and fight the battle for rights. I will never forget her. She is in a place of glory now and my mom has one of her good friends with her now. This is from both of us. May the lord be with your family in this time of grief. She is looking down at us and making sure we are good.

Dear Gabby and Family, What a woman! I remember having lunch with her one day and dreaming of setting up a Girl Scout Network with women from all career fields. We ended up with 450 who wanted to mentor Girl Scouts! Ann was an inspirtion to all who knew her -and so many did. I will miss her. My sympathy to you and your family. God bless her and you. Mrs. Ann Marek, wow what an amazing woman. Full of light and joy regardless of any obstacles. I could always guarantee a wonderful visit with her, she awakened my smile and sparked a twinkle in my eye. All I can say is; Lord you have received a very special woman, thank you for allowing me some precious time with her and for allowing your daughter to bring a little of your light to this place.

i had the privilege to work with Ann for several years through home health. In my many years i have never met a stronger person in all aspects of life. she was always welcoming and you felt like family when you met Gabby and Ann. She fought very hard against a disease that showed her no mercy. The world is a sadder place without Ann and I will miss her more than she will ever know.

Gabby and Family, Ann was the first person to greet and welcome me to St Lukes in the Meadow and obviously showed me that I was at home, for I am still here. I know that when it is my turn to return to Heaven, she will be there to welcome me in the gates. May light perpetual shine upon her.

One of the special joys in my life was knowing and learning from Ann. She was such a wonderful force for women and for the entire Fort Worth community. I'm sure she will be teaching the "angels" how to speak from the diaphram. Everyone from Network for Enterprising Women will remember those words from her. Peace and Love to Gaby and famiy. Ann was one of the strong characters whom I met in my public servant role. She brought excitement and candor to our discussions. She was warm and kind in her dealings with me and I felt like I was getting a fair hearing in all matters that we considered. Gabby, I hope the wonderful memories you have of your exciting times with her will bring you strength and comfort in the dark hours that are bound to come. I am glad that her life intersected with mine as I feel that I am better for having...

Melissa and family,
So sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. I never met your mother but I can tell she was a very special person by reading about her life. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers!
