ANSONIA: Ann Kathleen “Kathy” (Solsbury) Renker, age 75, entered eternal rest on November 27, 2023, in the comfort of her home with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick D. Renker.
Kathy was born in Derby on October 8, 1948, daughter of the late Henry and Ann Bailey Solsbury. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, she was employed for over forty years at McDonalds on Division Street in Derby. Kathy was kind hearted with a true love for family. She beautifully decorated her home seasonally for all to appreciate. Kathy enjoyed cooking, baking, and going shopping. She also liked planning parties. Her favorite treat was Munson’s chocolates.
Kathy leaves to cherish her memory, a brother, Kevin G. Solsbury (Karen) of Carbondale, PA, sisters, Maureen Solsbury of Ansonia, and Ellen Marie Stefancin (Richard) of Derby, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and one great-great nephew. She was predeceased by her daughter, Shannon Renker LeLacheur and brothers, Robert, Patrick, Shaun, and Keith Solsbury.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Friday, December 1, 2023, from 4:00-7:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Saturday morning, her funeral will begin at 9:15 am from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia.
