Ann Renker Obituary

Ann Kathleen Renker
Ann Kathleen "Kathy" (Solsbury) Renker, age 75, entered eternal rest on November 27, 2023, in the comfort of her home with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick D. Renker. Kathy was born in Derby on October 8, 1948, daughter of the late Henry and Ann Bailey Solsbury. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, she was employed for over forty years at McDonalds on Division Street in Derby. Kathy was kind hearted with a true love for family. She beautifully decorated her home seasonally for all to appreciate. Kathy enjoyed cooking, baking, and going shopping. She also liked planning parties. Her favorite treat was Munson's chocolates. Kathy leaves to cherish her memory, a brother, Kevin G. Solsbury (Karen) of Carbondale, PA, sisters, Maureen Solsbury of Ansonia, and Ellen Marie Stefancin (Richard) of Derby, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and one great-great-nephew. She was predeceased by her daughter, Shannon Renker LeLacheur and brothers, Robert, Patrick, Shaun, and Keith Solsbury. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Friday, December 1, 2023, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. To The Solsbury Family,

Our immediate families grew up together in Ansonia, Many, Many years ago. We were all grew up together and it was a Great Time. It was a multi=family house and we always could be found in one apartment or the other. Although only five years older than myself her Brother as I called him "Patty Mike" and I were always getting into trouble. And if it wasn't for Auntie Ann or my mother catching us it was Kathy who always covered for both of us. As years went by and we all went our ways we kind of lost touch. But Kathy never lost touch or forgot. Occasionally we would see each other start talking about the then and now Families but. always going back to our early childhood days, although all these years had passed, I would always bring up the Solsbury Family when my friends would be talking about their Childhoods I would and still do talk about mine then, Because the best times remembered in my Life was THEN living in Ansonia with my Second Family - "The Solsbury Family" To all of the Solsbury Family and extended families she is never gone from our Memories and Hearts. She just like Auntie Anne always who were not afraid to show their LOVE for Family or anyone who was lucky enough to be in both of their life's. I count myself of being very Lucky to have been a part of each other's life's and will never ever forget them or those that have passed before them.

Love,
Laura Testone-Wabno
