Howard G. Renker

Howard Gregory Renker, age 67 of Parma, OH, was unexpectedly taken by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 15, 2025.

Howard was born in North Royalton to Richard Lee Renker and Ruby June Renker (nee Billue). He attended North Royalton High School, where he excelled academically and athletically in track and field, basketball, and soccer. He studied business at Baldwin Wallace and played basketball at the collegiate level. Howard also briefly attended Ashland Seminary, where he planned a life of ministry but was called to his family's business, Ideal Builders Supply, which was passed to Howard (5th generation) and his son, Adam (6th generation). Howard will be fondly remembered as a kind, gentle, and generous man, father, grandfather, and husband, whose heart brought strength, comfort, and encouragement to all those around him. His love was infectious and known to his wife, friends, children, grandchildren and beloved dog, Rufus, whom he cherished in his later years.

Howard is survived by his mother, Ruby June Renker; his beloved wife, Janet Lee Renker (nee Wiley); children, Rebekah Lee Marr (Henry), Adam Gregory Renker (Angela), Hillary Gale Belardo (Anthony), and Liana Grace Renker (Matthew); grandchildren, Andrew Robert Marr, Annie June Marr, and Peter Michael Marr; sisters, Richelle Schubert, Roxanne Baugher, Renee Bright, and Lisa Anne Sheppard; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Lee Renker.

A funeral service will be held for Howard at 7pm on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the BABITT-BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 9350 Ridge Rd., North Royalton, OH 44133. Family will receive friends from 5pm until the start of the service. Private interment at Woodvale Cemetery, Middleburg Heights, OH.
