Anna Godwin DuBree
April 4, 1941 - April 25, 2022
Raleigh, North Carolina - Anna Godwin DuBree, age 81, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, April 30 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church located at 211 Irwin Drive, Newton Grove, NC 28366. Officiating will be Father Patrick Keane. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Anna is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, James DuBree, two sons, George DuBree (Kathy) of Greensboro and Mathew DuBree (Stacey) of Saltville, Virginia and daughter, Sonya DuBree (Rick Gammon) of Raleigh and ten grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sisters and brothers, Elizabeth (Betty)Tyler, Bernard Godwin, Sam Godwin, Enoch Godwin, Jr., Sister Mary Julia Godwin, RSM, Flonnie Fisher, Katie West, Mary Ida McHugh, Johnnie Godwin, Carolyn Redmond and Frances Fisler. Surviving are her siblings Anthony Godwin, George Godwin (Jean), and Agnes Keating (Tom).
Anna graduated from Meadow High School in Benson, NC, and Raleigh School of Data Processing. She retired from NCDHHS.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, PO Box 100, Newton Grove, NC 28366.
