Not sure what to say?

I will miss Anne. She was my trainer when I started working with the credit union in 2002. Always had a smile on her face. Precious lady. Will miss her visiting us at the credit union

I met Anne 40 years ago at a retreat in Black Mountain, a truly memorable time filled with wonderful women at a difficult time in my life. She was so open and loving. I saw her by chance through the years and we always were able to catch up. Rest in peace Anne. You brought love, understanding and joy to so many lives.

Indeed, Anne was a force of nature whose company I would have sought even if I hadn't first met her as the mother and grandmother of amazing women I'm honored to know. (Apples don't fall far from their tree.) Her intelligence and graciousness leave indelible memories I'm so grateful to have.

Anne was a gift given by God She was an example to all who knew her. I was a member of Knollwood and got to know her there. I'm so sorry for your loss but Heaven is a wonderful place.

I was a Mental Health Assn. Volunteer for years in the music group performing at any Behavioral Health units in Winston-Salem. My fondest memory of Anne Compere was her singing "Just as I Am" in a duet with the Associate Mental Health Director Barbara Muse at Knollwood Baptist Church.

I met Anne about 45 years ago when we were working in nonprofit organizations in Winston-Salem. She was a dear, dear friend and an amazing mentor. I will always remember what she said to me, one time, all those years ago, and have shared this story with others many times. We were out for lunch one day, and were talking about all the many issues we as human beings have. I asked her a question about this, which I no longer remember, but I remember exactly what she said to me. After my...

I first met Anne when she made a great presentation at my WFU psychology class. Not long after that we connected again when a group of us decided to meet regularly. We did, and still do, for more than 40 years-bi-weekly for dinner until Covid, then weekly, via Zoom. I don´t believe I´ve ever met anyone more loving, generous and positive. She leaves behind an unfillable void. We love you, Anne, and we will miss you!

Anne has been a friend since 1958 when I entered Mississippi College, Clinton, MS as a freshman. We graduated the same year. We both lived in NC for many year and our children enjoyed teen years with many shared experiences. Anne is much loved and will be missed. My condolences to each family member.Kathy Clark
