Annie was my friend for 21 years and during that time she was my dear friend and my role model. Her positive view on life carried her through many difficult times, and even in death she was gracious. The last email I received from her ended with "I am going out on a real high". I will miss you, Annie. You are in my heart forever.

We knew Anne from free eye clinics in Central America with I CARE International. In 2010, she was a leader of a clinic in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, a tough and dangerous place. But thanks to her competence, dedication and enthusiasm, everything went well. Nearly 3,000 people received eye care and glasses, many for the first time in their lives. Afterward, she wrote a book about the clinic, covering in pictures and words, our work in the field.
We still use her book many times each year...

I was so sorry to read the Anne had passed away. Anne and I worked in advertising in LA in the same area of the agency business. When she moved to
SLO we got together several times. I would see her at some events, but I lost track of her in recent times. I always enjoyed our time together and loved her intelligence, sense of humor and compassion. To her large family,
I send my prayers. I hope to meet you at the memorial in Feb 2018.

Dear Annie, you've given so much in your life, to friends, family, and everyone you meet. Thank you for being in my life. And Judy's. And Ron's. Your sense of excitement about life was a joy. Your humor, intelligence, creativity, and generosity were all special and I will miss you.
