Not sure what to say?

Her aunt, Eva Lamar was the sister to Rev Eddie Horton. I am a cousin. She had a kind and loving spirit

An amazing English Teacher will be truly missed by all the students she taught at Central High School. Ms. Battle was one of the greatest teacher, who was dedicated to her students and she loved them as if they were her own children. Rest in Heaven Ms. Battle, you will be greatly missed by everyone who knew you.

She was an amazing English teacher! She inspired and demanded quality work. She's forever a part of me. Thanking God for Ms. Annie Battle!

Long live her legacy,

Toyann Daniel Mason

We extend our sympathy and prayers to the family of this gracious lady. May God's blessings fall on you all.

One of my favorite English teachers at Central! Rest in heaven and God bless her family!

My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Mrs. Battle. What a great teacher, didn't play nothing. Mrs. Battle really played a roll helping me become the man I am today. I thank God she was one of my mentors.

In every memory I have of Aunt Annie Laura, she was always, Always laughing! I thought she was so prim and sweet, carrying herself w/such grace & dignity!
To the Battle & Horton Families, death comes so suddenly, leaving so many of us unprepared! It hurts! Our comfort lies in the Peaceful Garden, where we know Annie Laura has journeyed. No longer Earthly, she's Heavenbound! No longer in transition, as are we, but now a Beautiful Butterfly! On Her Wings, shall she soar!

A very special spirit. She contributed much to many students who were privileged to have her as teacher.
