I was privileged to be in Dr. Gioias Differential Equations class in the mid 1980s. He was so enthusiastic and engaging. He seemed like such a strong person and yet kind and fair. I know this is a very late message on his passing, but I searched on him and found the obituary after being reminded of him in recent news about the Covid-19 presented by Dr. Fauci. Both men impress me as strong, helpful and mighty. The class with Dr. Gioia was one of the best of the engineering curriculum. God...
