Not sure what to say?

He coached me in the 8th grade in Ville Platte. Good coach. May God be with you coach.

So very sorry to hear of Coach Misita's passing! May God ease the pain that his family & those closest to him are enduring at this difficult time. Thru God's grace he will reside in Glory forever! (I had the privilege of play for Coach Misita my senior year at Southeastern. He was also kind enough to allow me to fish in the pond behind his new home years ago. Rest in Peace Coach!!!)

Hello Anthony, Jann here. (Folsom, client @ Hornbeak Stables) Sending my sincere sympathy. Our fathers were connected in the Football world. You & I, in the Equine world. Fond memories. May peacefulness always surround you. May health & happiness always prevail. And may your smile continue, as I remember, to light up a room. My condolences to your family. Miss you! Regards, fondly, Jann

Coach Misita, the first thing you taught me was to “Never Get Reached!” This life is always throwing us curveballs, and the lessons I learned from you on the football field have allowed me to persevere and continue to battle life’s obstacles!

I have great memories of teaching at Mater Dolorosa with Tony and you, Sylvia. Tony has been an inspiration to all those young people he had coached and taught throughout his career. He has touched the hearts and minds of generations of students and will not be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with you Sylvia, and may God and His angels comfort and support you in the days ahead.

Great Greenie memories and five great friends in Andy, Dwayne, Mike, Suzie, and Toni Lynn. Rest In Peace, Coach...rc

Dear Sylvia, while it has been eons since I last saw Tony and you I recognized that handsome young man pictured in the obituary right away. We are at that age where reading the obits is a big part of our life - to keep informed about who of our contemporaries has gone to be with God and to make sure that our own name is not among them. You and Tony had many years and many wonderful experiences together and now you will have memories of those times to reflect upon and give you comfort. I...

Coach Misita was a great man. I played for him during my sophomore and junior year at SLU. After my freshman year, I became home sick and was going to quit the team and head back to Alabama. However Coach talked me into staying and for that, I’m forever grateful. Most of the friends I have today are the result of that conversation. He taught me to never quit when faced with adversity. I still try to live by those principles today. You will truly be missed Coach. My thoughts and prayers are...

Coach Misita was a great leader. I had the pleasure of playing for him during the 1984 and 85 seasons at SLU. He made you want to give your all, which is a principle I still follow today. I actually thought about leaving after my freshman year, but he talked me into staying. I’m forever grateful for that! Most of the friends I have today are the result of that conversation. You will truly be missed Coach!
