Not sure what to say?

Many years ago my son, Michael Dunn -- a Stockton firefighter -- was on vacation in Ethiopia. I saw a small article in an Oakland paper about two firefighters dying in a Stockton fire. Since I was Michael's only link to what was happening at home, I called the department. It turns out it was Tony I spoke to, and he told me that it was a fire Michael would have been fighting if he had been home. Hey Tony,
It's difficult to believe that you left us so soon. You were just beginning a new chapter in your life and didn't even get to fully enjoy your new motor home. It's amazing to me that we have been friends for more than 45 years and our relationship began over the love of cars. I still clearly remember you and I in your Camaro flying down Brookside in the fog. Crazy! I will miss our monthly phone conversations. Rest in Peace Tony.

Note to Tony's sisters: Could you please...

Hey Tony,
Hard to believe you left us so soon. You were just starting a new chapter in your life and didn't even get a chance to fully enjoy your new motor home. IT's amazing to think we've known each other for more than 45 years and our one strong connection was cars. I clearly remember the one time we were in your camaro flying down Brookside in the fog. Crazy! I will truly miss our conversations. Rest in Peace Tony.

My dear friend, I wish we would have gotten time together to make enchiladas like we spoke of. I'll truly miss you. Please watch over us from Heaven.

My dear friend,
May God bless you on your journey home.
