Tony and I spent many fun hours together in and outside of Our Lady of Lourdes. We shared some mutual sleepovers at each other's homes. I can say without hesitation he was one of the most genuine people I've ever known. If the class of '67 had an 'icon,' it was Tony. I worked with Tony when he was with the DEC, and occasionally I would stop by his sporting goods store to see how he was doing. He loved the outdoors, and cared greatly about the environment. While with the DEC, on a particularly frustrating day, I remember him making the statement "it seems like all we do here is document the deterioration of the environment."
I never forgot what he said, and I used his quote many times over the years - it made me work harder. Tony was one of the good...

Tony was my friend in high school. When I lived in New Paltz in the 70's, I would stop into Tantillo's Market and the sporting goods store to say hello. Tony was smiling, and passionate in his views. I will alwys keep his smile in my heart.
