The Trapani Files -- March 1977 ... Tony loved the Bay because Tony was the Bay. More than forty-five years later, I remember a Friday afternoon so well that proved it true. St. Stanislaus had emptied with its usual weekend rush to the busses for boarding students going home as the campus slowed to a lovely crawl. I worked with Cary. My momma & I loved going to Trapani's before Katrina, the fried green tomatoes with crab!! The sunset martinis!! His driftwood art!! Just an amazing guy!! Momma left this world not long after Katrina, she hated seeing her beloved Coast torn up. I only got to go yo Trapani's once a few years ago.
